The Emporia State basketball teams play their final regular season games Wednesday night when the host Pittsburg State. A win by the Lady Hornets would give them the number 2 seed in the MIAA tournament. The Men need a win to keep their MIAA tournament hopes alive.
It was not a good night at Topeka Seaman for the Emporia High basketball teams Tuesday night. Seaman out scored the Emporia High girls 60-48. Seaman won the boys game 67-46.
Emporia States baseball team has added a game to their schedule. The Emporia State softball team has games cancelled and adds games. The Emporia State womens tennis team has canceled a match.
The Emporia High girls bowling team finished in 2nd place and the boys in 4th place at the Junction City invitational Tuesday.
The Chase County girls finished the regular season with a 40-36 upset win over Olpe, while the Olpe boys beat Chase County 77-48 to cap an undefeated regular season.

Emporia States Merissa Quick has been named the MIAAs womens basketball player of the week. She averaged 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 blocked shots in wins at Nebraska Kearney and Washburn. Emporia State plays their final regular season games Wednesday when they host Pittsburg State.
