Hispanic Heritage Month activities are continuing in Emporia this weekend.
Las Casitas Park will be the site of a mini Fiesta Saturday afternoon. The celebration will run from noon to 4 pm with music, food, pinatas, dancing and much more.
The event will also feature a special ribbon cutting recognizing the creation of a new mural at the park created by Deon Morrow. Nuestra Musica host Vic Rodriguez, a guest of KVOE’s Morning Show recently, says the mural is “another effort to add more color to the park.”
The ribbon cutting will take place at 2 pm. The event is free to attend and all are welcome.
