A pair of women were injured after their vehicle left the roadway early Saturday morning in Chase County.
The accident was reported at 1 am at I-35 mile marker 106 southbound. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2020 Nissan Rogue, driven by 41-year-old Angelica Simbana-Cuenca of Hackensack, New Jersey, was traveling in the area when the vehicle hydroplaned.
The Rogue then left the roadway and struck the ditch. Simbana-Cuenca and a passenger, 23-year-old Francesca Pulgarin Simbana of Wichita both suffered apparent minor injuries. The KHP crash log does not say if either were transported to the hospital.
Both were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
