Like many other business sectors in the local community, healthcare providers are planning and assessing the potential impacts that the closures of Tyson and Holiday Resort could have on their patients and bottom lines.
KVOE News recently spoke with CareArc CEO Renee Hively, who says the administration has been hard at work over the past week planning for various scenarios and developing plans in response. At this time, however, Hively says there are no certainties, only assumptions.
One thing Hively anticipates is a change in health coverage for many patients.
With that in mind, she says if patients are concerned about their access due to changes in health care coverage, CareArc can lend assistance to help reduce their financial burden.
Hively adds individuals do not have to be current or past patients to access services through CareArc and welcomes any and all who may be in need of this assistance to reach out and schedule appointments through the health center which provides medical, dental and mental health services.
As for the center’s bottom line, Hively tells KVOE News that the pending closures could impact CareArc’s revenue stream; however, the exact trajectory is unclear.
Hively admits they likely won’t have a definitive answer until one or the other happens.
As such, leadership is currently planning and developing strategies for both scenarios.
