It’s hard to build an action plan with a lot of unknowns involved, but that’s what Newman Regional Health administrators are doing as they look to help residents affected by the closures of Holiday resort and Tyson Foods over the next several weeks.
Newman Regional Health Chief Executive Officer Cathy Pimple says the hospital is looking at both personal health and employment needs as it plans ahead.
Pimple says it’s too early to say how the closures will ripple through the area and through the hospital’s bottom line — but she expects some trends to clear up within the next two weeks. She also doesn’t expect any major changes to the hospital’s operations or services, but she says her main concern is serving everybody — especially at this time.
Newman Regional Health had a hiring event for Holiday Resort staffers late last week. Pimple says the hospital plans to use a data-driven approach when it comes to the volume of services provided.
