Emporia State wrapped up the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships with three All-American performances Saturday at Welch Stadium as both the men’s and women’s teams scored at nationals for the first time since 2023.
The Hornet men finished 36th in the team standings while the women placed 43rd nationally.
Brooks Lowe opened the day with a first-team All-American effort in the men’s javelin. He went on to place seventh overall in the nation. Freshman Grayson Walburn also competed in the event, finishing 16th with a throw of 61.41 meters (201-5).
Connor Deters earned All-American honors in the men’s shot put with a sixth-place finish. His top mark of 18.42 meters (60-5.25) came on his fifth attempt.
Stella Agbokpah closed out the meet for the Hornets with a fourth-place finish in the women’s 200-meter dash. Agbokpah crossed the finish line in 23.62 seconds to secure All-American recognition.
The meet concludes the Emporia State season. The 2027 Championships will be hosted by Cal Poly Pamona.
