The "New Year, New Career" job fair gives potential employees a chance to find a job in a more casual setting than the traditional in-person job fair. Business Services Manager Ashley Strawder explains:
The switch from in-person to virtual job fairs began once coronavirus entered the picture last spring. The state shifted away from the traditional in-person events and purchased an online platform so the job fairs could continue.
The job fair is now open until 5 pm Thursday with over 40 businesses involved. Job seekers need to register by going online to www.sekworks.org/virtualjobfair. Residents can also call 342-3355 for more information.
