Emporia High football moves up in CIK poll Featured

The Emporia High Football team has moved up to number 6 in 5A in this weeks Catch It Kansas poll.

St. Thomas Aquinas is ranked #1 followed by Wichita Northwest, Maize South, Great Bend and Bishop Carroll.
3 other Centennial league teams are ranked. Topeka High is ranked 2nd and Manhattan 8th in 6A. Hayden is ranked 7th in 3A.
Two area teams are ranked Madison 2nd in 8-Man Division 1. Olpe 4th in 1A.
 
The Spartans are coming off a 17-6 win over Washburn Rural. Emporia High hosts Topeka West Friday night. Coach Corby Milleson says there are areas that need to be improved.

Kick-off Friday night is set for 7pm at Welch Stadium. The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM.
