
The Emporia High boys basketball team overcame a 14 point 3rd quarter deficit to defeat Junction City 61-53.
The Spartans outscored the Blue Jays 20-8 in the 4th quarter for the win. Coach Beau Welch called it a big win.
Charles Snyder scored a game-high 30 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Chance Gilpin added 15 points as the Spartans improved to 3-2 for the season.
The Emporia High girls outscored Junction City 40-29. A game that Coach Carolyn Dorsey said they could have played better.
Rebecca Snyder scored 13 points and grabbed 17 rebounds. Macey Adams added 12 points for the Lady Spartans as they improved to 4 and 2 for the season.
Emporia High goes to Topeka West on Tuesday.
