Emporia High wrestlers tune up for Centennial League tournaments Featured

The Emporia High boys wrestling team won 2 of 3 duels and the girls won all 3 duels with Washburn Rural, Paola, and Topeka Seaman Tuesday night.

The Emporia High boys were defeated by Washburn Rural, the number 1 ranked team in 6A 52-26.
They defeated Paola 47-28 and defeated Topeka Seaman 48-30.
3 Spartans were undefeated for the night.
Xerarch Tungjaroenkul at 145 pounds was 3-0.
Bobby Trujillo at 182 was undefeated.
And Dylan Stopp at 220 won all 3 of his matches by fall.

The Emporia High girls defeated Washburn Rural the number 1 ranked team in Girls Division I 36-32. They defeated Paola 62-16 and defeated Topeka Seaman 55-12.
5 Lady Spartans were undefeated on the night.
Evelin Geronimo, Virginia Munoz, Hannah Boa, Trinity Ervin who is ranked 3rd at 191 including a win over Washburn Rurals Dajia Anderson the number 2 ranked wrestler.

Megan Olson was also undefeated.

Up next for the Emporia High wrestling teams will be the Centennial League Tournaments.
The girls wrestle Friday and the boys wrestle Saturday.
