Emporia High School had one wrestler finish on the podium at the 5A Boys state wrestling championships Friday.
Sophomore Xerach Tungjaroenkul finished in sixth place at 145 lbs. He says it wasn't the outcome he'd hoped for but he was pleased with his improvement throughout the day.
Head coach Brooke Medrano says he was pleased with this wrestler's effort on the day. He says they have a lot to build on in the future.
Bobby Trujillo also competed at the state tournament in the 182 lbs weight class.
