Our latest round of heat and humidity is prompting a change of approach for the MealSpot trailer this week.
USD 253 Food Service Director Denise Kater explains:
There will be no change in operations for the program’s other breakfast and lunch sites at Walnut, Village, Riverside, Emporia Middle School and the Lee Beran Recreation Center.
The MealSpot trailer will be at the Emporia Public Library this week between 10:45 am and 11:30 am. It also stops at Eastgate Plaza Apartments from 12-1 pm this week.
Kater says kids up to age 18 eat free. Adult meals are $4 each.
