Ava Karcher Senior @ EHS Barbara Weaver – Neighbor
Provide a brief description of why you are nominating this student for the award.
When I first heard about the Student of the Month program, I immediately thought of Ava Karcher. She and her family have been our neighbors for many years, and we have watched her grow up into the young woman she has become. This recommendation is probably a little different than most as I have not worked directly with Ava on any of her accomplishments. We have supported her with some of her activity fundraisers and have very much enjoyed the homemade cinnamon rolls she made to fundraise for some of her trips. I had to get the information of all her accomplishments from her mother, and I must confess I was surprised at everything she has done I knew nothing about. As I was preparing this, listening to KVOE, I suddenly heard her voice advertising the election day fundraising dinner her youth group is doing.
