Modest increases in new and active cases highlighted Lyon County Public Health’s latest COVID-19 dashboard report.
On Wednesday, Public Health announced 15 new cases and 10 recovered patients. The current total on active cases is 48, up five from Monday. The number of breakthrough cases involving infections in fully vaccinated residents climbed from six to nine.
Deaths remained at 87. Active hospitalizations remained at two.
Lyon County is now up to 49 total variant cases, of which 31 are delta cases and 18 are alpha cases.
As of Wednesday afternoon, Lyon County is up to 50.8 percent of its eligible population ages 12 and up fully vaccinated. Nationally, the number is 58.2 percent. For total population, Lyon County’s number is 43.4 percent.
