Electric vehicle charging stations could become more visible across the state of Kansas thanks to a new partnership in the works involving Evergy and the Kansas Corporation Commission.
Evergy Electrification Product Senior Manager Nick Voris, a recent guest of KVOE’s Morning Show explains.
According to Voris, the plan is to offer these special rebates and rates to “spur” the installation of more EV charging stations across Evergy’s statewide service network. Voris says there are a variety of different charging stations available within the “EV world.”
Voris says the new rebate program would allow for the installation of charging stations in a variety of commercial locations across Evergy’s statewide service system. He says the stations would likely be of the level two variety which can fully charge your vehicle in an overnight timeframe.
Voris says the rebate program should be up and running at some point in the first quarter of 2022. You can find additional information at KCC.KS.Gov.
