Nearly 20 new COVID-19 cases have been announced by Lyon County Public Health to close out the week.
Public Health announced 19 new cases between Wednesday and Friday. This follows 35 new cases Wednesday and 26 Monday or a total of 80 cases this week. Lyon County is now at 10,359 total cases since the pandemic started in March 2020.
Deaths remained flat at 123.
Meanwhile, following the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s blessing to give booster doses to most children, CareArc says it is now giving those vaccinations to children between the ages of 5 and 11. Residents need to call 620-342-4864 to schedule appointments. Vaccinations currently will be given on Tuesdays and Thursdays for kids ages 5-11.
