The candidate filing deadline for the 2023 election cycle is still over two months away, but the USD 252 Southern Lyon County race now has a name on the ballot.
Emily Darbyshire, currently the board president, has filed for re-election to USD 252 Position 5. Also on the county ballot is USD 253 incumbent Jeremy Dorsey.
School board, City Commission, City Council and mayor positions are on the ballot this election cycle. The filing and withdrawal deadline is noon June 1. If enough candidates file, the primary election is set for Aug. 1.
