The best of the best sharpshooters in 4H were recognized during the 2023 Shooting Sports Awards as part of the Lyon County Fair.
One of this year’s top performers was Adrianna Sieberns. She won four grand championships, Level III BB Gun, Junior Air Rifle, Junior Air Pistol, and Smallbore Pistol.
Sieberns says there are several factors that drive her to be successful in shooting sports.
Garland Hanlin won two grand championships in Senior Muzzleloading and Senior Bowhunter. This year is his final year of competing in Shooting Sports for 12 years. Hanlin says shooting sports began as an interest to him and eventually turned into a passion and says he’ll miss competing.
