Emporia’s Underground Utilities Department spent part of Wednesday repairing a water main leak in northwest Emporia.
Work began Wednesday morning on a 20-inch line in the 1600 block of Prairie. Line repairs ended shortly after 10 am.
There will be one-lane traffic around the work zone, however, until street repairs are finished — which may be next week due to rain chances. Northbound traffic is going past the work zone unhindered. Southbound traffic is closed between Ashley Estates and Prairie Lane.
