Double-digit COVID case increases continue for Lyon County according to Public Health’s latest data report.
According to public health’s first report of the week, 26 new cases developed over the past weekend. This follows an increase of 50 cases last Wednesday and 37 new cases Friday. Public Health has stated the ongoing increase in cases both locally and nationally are likely due to an omicron variant.
Deaths were unchanged at 123. The overall pandemic total now stands at 10,305 cases since the start of the pandemic in late March of 2020.
As KVOE has noted, Public Health is returning to its traditional reporting format of three announcements a week. The next report is scheduled to be released Wednesday.
