Ag producers who may have been struggling to meet application deadlines for certain revenue loss programs now have more time to file their paperwork.
Friday was originally the deadline for the Emergency Relief Program Phase 2 and the Pandemic Assistance Revenue Program. Deadlines for both applications have been pushed to July 14.
To be eligible for the Emergency Relief Program Phase 2, producers must be dealing with a decrease in allowable gross revenue, either in 2020 or 2021, due to expenses connected to losses of eligible crops from certain natural disasters. This will also likely involve crops not covered by Federal Crop Insurance or Noninsured Crop Disaster Assistance because crops covered by these two programs were already included in ERP Phase 1.
To be eligible for the Pandemic Assistance Revenue Program, or PARP, producers “must have been in the business of farming” for at least part of 2020 and suffered at least a 15-percent decline in allowable gross revenue for that year when compared to a baseline year.
Producers filing these applications are also reminded July 15 is a significant deadline for completing acreage reports involving most crops.
