Nobody was hurt when fire destroyed a car northeast of Emporia on Thursday evening.
Emporia Fire responded to the Kansas Turnpike mile marker 136, almost 10 miles northeast of Emporia, shortly after 8 pm. Fire Capt. Jesse Taylor says the car was fully engulfed in flames when they arrived.
A cause is pending.
