Local firefighters were ultimately cancelled enroute to a reported vehicle fire northeast of Americus.
The fire was reported at 5:10 pm Sunday in the 2500 block of Road G a little more than two miles northeast of Americus. Americus and Emporia/Lyon County crews responded but were canceled shortly after.
Full details are currently pending, however, initial indications are that a tractor caught fire and was extinguished before fire fighters arrived.
