A cause is pending after a vehicle fire in west Emporia on Saturday.
Emporia Fire responded to the Flint Hills Care and Rehab front parking lot after the fire was reported shortly before noon. The fire was extinguished in short order. The car was parked in front of the building, but there was no apparent extension to the building.
No injuries were reported. The fire was contained to the engine compartment.
