A classic car was damaged by fire Wednesday morning.
Emporia Fire was dispatched to a vehicle fire call at 15th and Lincoln around 7:10 am. Battalion Chief Ryan Conley says there had been recent work done on a 1964 Pontiac GTO, but a fuel system issue was noticed when people tried to start the car.
Fire was limited to the engine compartment. Conley says there was minimal damage and there were no injuries reported.
