A 10-year-old boy was transported to Newman Regional Health after he was hit by a car shortly after noon Wednesday.
Emporia Police say the youngster was hit in the Subway drive-through lane at 935 Industrial at around 12:45 pm. The boy apparently was trying to cross but either didn’t see or wait for oncoming traffic and was hit by a car driven by Brittany Hase of Lebo.
Hase was not hurt. Police are not releasing the boy’s name because of his age.
