The number 3 ranked Emporia State womens basketball team improved to 16-0 with a 80-67 win over Central Missouri Saturday.

The Lady Hornets had to overcome a 10 point first half deficit to pick up the win. Coach Jory Collins said it took a team effort.

Amber Vandiver and Laura Patrick led Emporia State with 16 points. Merissa Quick and Kelly Moten both scored 14 poinjts. Desiree Wylie finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

The Lady Hornets are now 16-0 for the season and 7-0 in MIAA play.
