Saturday was a good night for zombies, and the Emporia Police Department’s second annual Zombie Run featured lots of the undead in and around downtown Emporia.
The event’s all in good fun to raise money for the Benefit Association, according to Officer Jaffar Agha.

Agha says events like this help to bridge any gaps between the Police Department and the community. He encourages residents to communicate with officers whenever they have concerns.
About 40 runners and walkers participated. Fundraising totals will be announced in the next few days.
