#17 Drury jumped out to a 20-2 lead to start the game on the way to a 91-74 win over the Emporia State men Friday.
The Hornets did cut the deficit to 7 by halftime 37-30 and trailed 39-35 early in the 2nd half but could get no closer. Brandon Hall led Emporia State with 17 points. Josh Pederson added 11 points. Drury was led by Isaac Johnson with 31 points. Former Emporia High standout John Williams finished with 6 points for Drury. The Hornets fall to 2-4 for the season. They will play Missouri S&T Saturday afternoon at 1pm.
