The 15th ranked Emporia State football team hosts Nebraska Kearney in their home opener Thursday night. The Hornets are looking to bounce back from their season opening loss. Kearney is coming in after a season opening win over Missouri Western.
Emporia State Coach Garin Higgins says Kearney does offer challenges both offensively and defensively.
Receiver Justin Brown says they need to focus on the game plan.
Linebacker Gabe Cleveland says they will need to play assignment sound football.
Kick-off for the game is set for 7pm at Welch Stadium.
The game will be broadcast on MIX 104.9. Coverage begins at 6pm.
