The Emporia State baseball team begins a 3 game series with Newman Thursday.
The Hornets are coming off a 3 game sweep of Metro State. Senior Rightfielder Bryce Fischer said that was a step in the right direction.
The two teams will play in Wichita this afternoon. They will play games 2 and 3 in Emporia on Saturday and Sunday.
