Hartford collected back to back wins over Northern Heights as the regular season winds down on Area Game of the Week.
The Lady Jaguars came out on top in overtime 57-54 over the Lady Wildcats.
The teams were tied at halftime 21-21 and traded lead changes going in to the fourth quarter. Northern Heights led in the final moments of the fourth when a three pointer from Morgan Bolen would tie the teams at 46 to force overtime. Hartford then took the lead and never trailed in overtime to come out with the victory.
Hartford was led in scoring by senior Morgan Bolen with 32 points. Senior Maisie Schroeder added 16 points.
Northern Heights was led in scoring by sophomore Kylee Massey and freshman Caleigh Smart with 14 points each.
Hartford Girls Head Coach Ryan Thomas says there was a lot for his team to take heading into the end of the season.
Hartford now improves to 15-4 on the season as Northern Heights falls to 8-11.
On the boys side of the evening Hartford outlasted a close first half to defeat the Wildcats 50-42.
The Jaguars would grab the early lead in the first quarter and lead 15-8 going into the second. Northern Heights managed to close the lead and tie Hartford 18-18 at the half. In the second Hartford would seize the lead and never trailed en-route to their victory.
Hartford was led by senior Dalen Kitsner and sophomore Cody Thomas with 17 points each.
Northern Heights was led in scoring by seniors Michael DeWeese and Marcus Waters each with ten points.
Hartford Head Coach Patrick Gardner says rebounding was the main factor in the game.
Hartford now improves to 8-11 on the season as Northern Heights falls to 4-15.
