The Emporia State basketball teams are down to their final two games of the regular season. Thursday night they play at Northeastern State.
The Lady Hornets are in a virtual 3 way tie for 4th place in the MIAA standings. They are going for the regular season sweep of the Riverhawks. Coach Jory Collins says transition defense will be a big key tonight.
The Emporia State men are in 12th place in the MIAA standings. They are looking for a split with Northeastern. Coach Shaun Vandiver says they will need to avoid long scoreless droughts.
A win gives them the final spot in the MIAA Tournament.
Game times tonight are 5:30 for the women and 7:30p for the men. The games are set to be broadcast on MIX 104.9 and on-line at kvoe.com.
