(k-state) Kansas State used a late 16-4 scoring run to end the game, and out scored Texas 58-48. Giving Kansas State its 29th 20-win season in program history. Barry Brown was the leading scorer with 16 points. Dean Wade added 13 points.
Coach Bruce Weber said they showed some mental toughness.
