The MIAA indoor track and field championships will wrap up Sunday at Pittsburg State.
Saturday Wyatt Sander finished in 4th place and Payson Maydew 5th in the Heptathlon. Brian Newkirk placed 6th in the 5000 meter run. The mens distance medley relay of Cole Bosley, Luke Stenzel, Murad Baheyadeen, Jared Reinke finished in 2nd place.
Thomas LaRoche had the fastest time in the 800 prelims and set a meet record with a time of 1:51.56. Murad Baheyadeed also qualified for the finals in the 800. Taysean Goodwin qualified for the finals in the 400 and 200. Brandon Rhone qualified for the finals in the 400. Luke Stenzel qualified for the finals in the 600. Wyatt Sander qualified for the finals in the 60 meter hurdles. For the women Lati Yeargin qualified for the finals in the 60 meter dash. Elizabeth Blevins qualified for the finals in the 600 yard run.
Also competing Sunday will be Alec Garcia in the Shotput.

The mens 4 by 400 relay team has the top seed time.
The Emporia State men are in 4th place in the team standings going into the finals.
