Bryce Fischer hit a walk off 3 run homerun in the bottom of the 10th giving the Emporia State baseball team a 15-14 win over Southwest Baptist Saturday.
Emporia State scored 4 runs in the 1st inning and added 3 more runs in the 2nd to build a 7-0 lead. Southwest Baptist scored 6 runs in the top of the 3rd inning. The Hornets added 4 more runs in the bottom of the 3rd to take a 11-6 lead. Southwest Baptist tied the game at 12 in the 8th inning. They scored 2 runs in the top of the 10th to take a 14-12 lead. With 2 on and no outs Bryce Fischer hit his 3rd homerun of the season.
The Hornets go for the series sweep this afternoon. First pitch is set for noon at the Trusler Sports complex.
