10th ranked Cincinnati slipped past 11th ranked Wichita State 62-61 Sunday to clinch the American Athletic Conference regular season championship.
The Shockers trailed by 11 in the first half after leading by 4. There were 8 ties and 8 lead changes in the game. Shaquille Morris and Landry Shamet both scored a team-high 16 points. Wichita State will now be the No. 2 seed in this week’s Aaron’s American Athletic Conference Championship in Orlando, Florida. They will play either Tulane or Temple Friday in the 6pm game.
