The Emporia State baseball team completed a 3 game sweep of Southwest Baptist with a 18-8 7 inning win Sunday.
The Hornets trailed 7-4 after 4 innings before scoring 4 runs in the 5th inning and exploded for 8 runs in the 6th inning. Bryce Fischer was 5 for 6 with 7 RBIs. He hit a grand slam as part of the 8 run 6th inning. He also drove in the game ending run in the 7th inning.
Tate Kastens was 3 for 4 with 5 RBI. Kastens hit his first homerun of the season, a 3 run homerun in the 6th inning.
The Hornets improve to 9-7 for the season and 3-3 in MIAA play. He
