Emporia State senior Lati Yeargin has been named the MIAA women track athlete of the week.
At the Emporia State Yeargin won the 100m in a provisional qualifying time of 11.94 and anchored the women’s 4x100m relay to a championship in a provisional qualifying time of 46.66 along with Jazmin Williams, Hannah Shield and Malacia Lee. The 4x100m time is ranked #1 in the nation after the first week of action while her 100m time is ranked seventh. Her time ranks fourth all-time at Emporia State in the 100m and the 4x100m relay time is ranked fifth in Hornet history.
