The Emporia State softball team picked up two run rule wins over Lincoln Saturday.
The Lady Hornets won the first game 10-2. Emporia State scored 2 runs in the 2nd inning, 3 runs in the third inning and added 4 runs in the fourth inning. Danielle Sprinkle, Kenzie Garvin, Kelsey Phillips and Destiny Ojigoh each drove in 2 runs.
Emporia State won the 2nd game 12-1. They scored 6 runs in the first and never looked back. The Lady Hornets closed out the scoring with 4 runs in the 4th. Danielle Sprinkle drove in 2 runs with a single in the first inning. Annie Rockley hit a 2 run homerun in the 4th inning. Destiny Ojigoh drove in 3 runs.
The Emporia State softball team improves to 12-20 for the season and 4-6 in the MIAA. They are scheduled to host Northeastern State Wednesday.
