The Emporia High softball team opened their season with a doubleheader sweep of Junction City.
Emporia High won the first game 7-0. They won the 2nd game 16-0 in 4 innings. The Lady Spartans scored 4 runs in the 1st inning of game 2, Paige Thomas hit a 3 run homerun.
The Lady Spartans play at Topeka West next Thursday.
