The Emporia State men finished in first place and the women finished in a tie for 3rd place at the ESU relays Saturday. Emporia State men had 4 first place finishes and the women had 2 first place finishes.
For the men Taysean Goodwin won the 400 meter dash. Alec Garcia won the shotput and provisionally qualified for nationals. The mens sprint medley relay team of Kaleb Barber, Malcolm Dade, Tanner Raubenstine and Jacob Gerber had the fastest time. The Mens 4 by 400 relay of Parker Evans, Luke Stenzel, Duke Tibbs and Taysean Goodwin also finished in 1st place. For the women the 4 by 100 relay team of Jazmin Williams, Hannah Shield, Malacia Lee and Lati Yeargin took first with a provisional qualifying time for nationals. The 4 by 200 relay team of Elizabeth Blevins, Brooke Brownlee, Lati Yeargin and Brianna Schmitz finished in 1st place.
Lati Yeargin in the 100 and the mens 4 by 100 relay team of Kelin Gordon, Taysean Goodwin, Colin Coleman and Duke Tibbs also provisionally qualified for nationals.
Wichita State took first in the womens standings. Iowa Central was 2nd and Emporia State tied with Northwest Missouri State.
