The Kansas City Royals are still searching for their first win of the season. The Detroit Tigers defeated the Royals 6-1 Monday afternoon.
The Royals took a 1-0 lead in the 3rd when Alcides Escobar scored on a Drew Butera sac Fly. Detroit tied the game in the bottom of the 3rd and took the lead scoring 4 runs in the bottom of the 5th. Jason Hammel was the losing pitcher going 5 innings giving up 5 runs on 7 hits.
The Royals and Tigers play again tomorrow afternoon.
