The Kansas City Star is reporting that Kansas State has suspended junior guard Amaad Wainright indefinitely after he was arrested by U.S. Marshals Tuesday in Kansas City, Missouri.
He has been charged in Johnson County with two felonies: fleeing and eluding and obstruction.
Kansas State Athletic Director Gene Taylor said they are aware of Ahmaad’s situation, ” and due to the seriousness of the charges he has been indefinitely suspended from our men’s basketball team per athletic department policy. We take matters such as these very seriously and will re-evaluate his status as we learn more information.”
Wainright was arrested on a warrant out of Johnson County, Kansas, stemming from an incident in 2018.
In January, Wainright was involved in an alleged road rage incident, where a shot was fired from his car into another vehicle.
