The Madison-Virgil School District has announced the first candidate for superintendent interviewing this week.
Stu Moeckel is currently the middle school and high school principal at USD 432 Victoria. He also serves as the district’s athletics, technology and transportation director. Moeckel was a teacher and coach for Victoria before rising to principal, and he has his undergraduate and masters degrees from Fort Hays State.
The district is interviewing two superintendent candidates as it looks to replace Ryan Bradbury, who is leaving USD 386 to lead Wellsville effective July 1. The second candidate will interview Thursday afternoon and evening and will not be named until the morning.
