The participant list is now set for the 2018 Match Day fundraiser as organized by the Emporia Community Foundation.
On KVOE’s Newsmaker 2 segment Wednesday, Community Foundation Director Becky Jeppesen announced three new groups will be involved.
Fourteen organizations were “grandfathered” in to the upcoming fundraiser from the original event in 2013, with 19 area organizations applying for the remaining 11 spots. The full list:

Match Day has rapidly become a major fundraiser for the participating groups, generating over $210,000 for the 24 groups involved just last year. Since it began, Match Day has generated almost $575,000 in financial donations for the participating groups.
As has been the case since Match Day began, a total of $50,000 in matching funds will be donated by the Clint Bowyer 79 Fund, Hopkins Foundation, Reeble Foundation, Trusler Foundation and Jones Testamentary Trust.
All organizations, whether they have been involved before or not, will have to apply for next year’s Match Day. For more information, call the Community Foundation at
