Two bids for road construction projects in Osage County have been approved.
The Kansas Department of Transportation has given the OK for a nearly six-mile sealing project on Kansas Highway 31 from the Osage-Wabaunsee county line to the Dakota Street intersection in Burlingame. Vance Brothers of Kansas City, Mo., won the contract with bid of almost $125,000.
A separate sealing project has also been approved for Kansas Highway 268. This affects nearly 10 miles of Highway from the US Highway 75 junction east to the K268-K68 junction. Vance Brothers won this contract as well with a bid of over $253,000.
Construction timelines for these projects have not been announced.
