Two men from Arkansas City have been arrested for allegedly stealing truck tires from a lot in southern Greenwood County last month.
The Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office says 43-year-old Robby Sherman and 56-year-old Jamie Martin were arrested recently with the help of the Ark City Police Department. Deputies were able to identify the truck and suspects that were seen on a security camera after the tire thefts March 27 and 28. Deputies got arrest warrants, ultimately arresting Sherman and Martin and also seizing the truck allegedly used in the thefts.
Deputies say one person was involved in the theft from the Frank Bills truck lot in Severy on March 28. Two people were involved in a related theft March 27.
Information about formal charges and potential court dates is pending. Deputies are recognizing police departments in Ark City and Winfield as well as the Cowley County Sheriff’s Office and the public for helping with this case, although the investigation is not yet completed.
