The Nitty Gritty Dirt Dash is less than two weeks away.
The sixth annual Nitty Gritty Dirt Dash is happening April 28 and many obstacles are already being set up. Brooke Bailey with Community Hornets talked to KVOE this week about preparations leading up to the event.
Funds raised from the event will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Flint Hills, Camp Alexander, and Emporia Child Care. Tuesday is the last day to pre-register and get a T-shirt for the event.
The Dirt Dash route begins at the Trusler Sports Complex and continues through the ESU campus. Registration opens at 8:30 a.m. on April 28 with the race starting at 9 a.m. You can register online at emporia.edu/recsport.
