The Toronto Blue Jays pounded the Kansas City Royals 15-5 Wednesday afternoon.
The Blue Jays hit 3 homeruns. Curtis Granderson hit a grand slam. Teoscar Hernández hit a 2 run homerun and Yangervis Solarte hit a solo homerun. For the Royals Whit Merryfield and Jorge Soler hit homeruns. The Blue Jays completed a sweep of the Royals. The Royals are now 3-13 for the season. Manager Ned Yost told the facebook broadcast that the focus this season is on preparing the younger players to be champions.
Kansas City will be off Thursday and open a weekend series in Detroit with a doubleheader Friday.
